This adorable family was expecting a new addition and I took some photos for them on a bright summer morning. Here are some favourites from the session!

Baby Arthur was 6 months old when I photographed him and his lovely parents. They played and giggled together, and even played the piano with little Arthur between them. Then we went outside briefly where Arthur sat in the snow for the very first time. It was adorable. I’m really honoured to be able to photograph families. I feel like I get to play a small part in their family history, being the photographer who documented some key milestones and some small moments. Sometimes when I’ve captured a moment I’m particularly proud of, I wonder if the little ones will grow up one day and wonder about who it was that took the photo and what the story behind it was. Above all though, I hope they will see these photos and know beyond any doubt how much their parents love and adore them.
Here are just a few of my favourites from this session!

Remember this sweet baby and his wonderful family? Well I returned for Baby Graham’s 6-Month session back in September. What a surprise and a treat it was for me to see how much he had grown! And those blue eyes. I love photographing babies around the 6 month mark, as they are usually at their chubbiest and I think it’s the most adorable time ever in their first year. I mean who doesn’t love baby rolls!
What I love the most about photographing families though is those little moments that I capture. The big moments in our lives are often remarkable, life-altering and sometimes heartbreaking. But it’s the little quiet moments that bring the sweetness. These are the moments when are you are at your truest selves; they are also the moments that, when captured on camera, are the ones you see in a slideshow of the bride & groom at a wedding; they are the moments that affirm to you: life isn’t perfect, but it is perfectly imperfect.
Thank you Heather & Mark, for inviting me again into your world. I very much look forward to Graham’s first birthday!

Simona & Daryl’s relaxed engagement session was featured on the Wedding Co. Blog yesterday! Head over there and have a look!

Remember this sweet family? One of Ming’s sisters, Lynn, contacted me in the Spring (yes..of last year! I’m catching up!) and asked me if I’d photograph her family, her parents (grandma & grandpa Wong), her siblings & their families. I was like – yea!
They were such great people, and it was such an honour and a pleasure to document 3 generations of a family together. I knowI’ve said this before, but there’s something amazing about being around kids. Their sense of wonder and joy at the smallest things bring out the kid in me and makes me feel giddy and worry-free. It’s possible that I’m totally biased since these kids were so well behaved. :)
