Shannon & Chris {Scarboro Golf & Country Club} // Toronto Wedding Photography

Shannon & Chris got married on a late September day at the Scarboro Golf and Country Club. It was a beautiful Fall day to get married. Chris is probably one of the kindest persons I’ve ever met and he just adores Shannon. As Shannon said during her speech, he’s just a big teddy bear. And Shannon? Shannon is beautiful, and she loves Chris wholeheartedly. You can just tell they are so good together.

One note about the venue – I was surprised at how classy the Scarboro Golf & Country Club is! Ok let me explain, most golf & country clubs I’ve been to are classy, but in a modern and almost preppy way. Whereas this one is classy and vintage and has one handsome clubhouse. The club has a lot of history since it dates back to 1912.

Thanks to my friend and fellow photographer, Karen of Boutique Photography for having me along to help with this wedding!

Erin & Ivan {Married} // Toronto Wedding Photography

I had the opportunity to second shoot for the lovely Melissa of Moments by Melissa Miller for Erin & Ivan’s intimate wedding last summer.

Erin: is laid back and down-to-earth; is genuinely kind; is the kind of beautiful that shines from within

Ivan: is laid back and down-to-earth; is genuinely kind; is the kind of guy who isn’t afraid to cry

Above all, they are in love, with each other, and with their adorable son, Hunter.

Blake & Lindsey {Hamilton Waterfront Centre} // Hamilton Wedding Photography

Oh these two! I don’t usually pick favourites, but they definitely hold a very special place in my heart. So thank you to the lovely Melissa from Moments by Melissa Miller for having me along to help for this wedding!

Blake & Lindsey tied the knot on a bright and sunny May afternoon. The wedding was held at the Hamilton Waterfront Centre. I shot a wedding here in 2011 with Melissa as well, and they’ve made some updates to bring a more modern sensibility to the space. The entire day was lovely, but Blake & Lindsey were definitely the star of the show. They are just so in love with each other. He absolutely adores her, and she makes him laugh. And when he kisses her, she does this thing where she scrunches up her nose. They absolutely love each other wholeheartedly. And that love isn’t just for each other, but for their friends and families as well. You can feel it. I don’t even know what else to say about this day without making it sound clichéd, except that this is why I love what I do, to witness such heartfelt love and document it, and know that as long as such love exists, the world is still a beautiful place.

Blake & Lindsey opted for a First Look, and it was really sweet. They spent the time laughing together, chatting and just being themselves.

One of the nearby boats sounded their horn (do you still call it a horn from a boat?!) to congratulate the couple!

Their MC’s made a special video for the couple that began with: “Good Evening, I’m Peter Mansbridge, and today from Hamilton, Ontario…” Everyone was absolutely floored.

The video then continued to interviews from some of their closest friends and family. Words that had everyone laughing and tearing up. Including us photographers.

Maitreyi & Shane // Archeo Wedding // Toronto Wedding Photography

“We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.”

Mike, the best man at Maitreyi & Shane’s wedding read this quote by Dr Seuss, which I adore.

Maitreyi & Shane got married on the last weekend of 2012. Maitreyi, or affectionately known as Tree by those who know her, and Shane met at Chapters where they both worked. That’s also where I met them. So we go way back =) I was thrilled when they contacted me and told me they were getting married! They flew in a few days before the wedding from India, where they had been working and living for the past few years. The wedding ceremony was an intimate affair with just 12 guests and it was followed by a beautiful Archeo wedding reception in the Distillery District. Both days were filled with love, joy, laughter, and reunions.

Congrats you guys! Wishing you nothing but the best for the new chapter in your lives! Thank you for having me along – it was amazing to be able to document the story of your wedding days.

We had a mini Chapters reunion!

Greg & Thea {Restaurant Wedding: Earth Bloor West} // Toronto Wedding Photography

Greg & Thea tied the knot a week after Thanksgiving in an intimate event filled with lots of love, laughter and DIY projects. Even though it was raining on and off all day, nothing could have dampened their celebration of love, family and friends. Their wedding was held at the modern yet classic Earth restaurant in Bloor West Village. The setting was romantic and lent to the intimate atmosphere of the wedding, and the food, well the food was fabulous. I felt very honoured to be a part of Greg & Thea’s special day and to be able to document their story. Once again one of my favourite part of the day was the ceremony. Take a look below, and you’ll see why. It involves a DIY backdrop which was filled with their story. They are both readers, so it came at no surprise that words and stories were a big part of their day.

Congratulations Greg & Thea, may your life together continue to be filled with love, and laughter for the years to come!

The kissing game got a little out of hand, Greg does not look impressed.

Thea’s dad gave a wonderful speech that has us all in stitches.

Sandra & Rob // Inn on the Twenty Wedding // Niagara-on-the-Lake Wedding Photography

Sandra & Rob had a beautiful and intimate Inn on the Twenty wedding on a bright, sunny afternoon in July. The ceremony was at the Cavespring vineyard and the reception was held at the Inn on the Twenty. Sandra is my friend Michelle’s sister-in-law. I also photographed Michelle & Remi’s wedding last year. So it was great to see some familiar faces.

The vineyard setting was romantic and perfect for the intimate ceremony. I really think that when it comes to settings for a wedding, simple is the way to go. When you have a beautiful and simple setting, you don’t have much more decorating to do. The reception was held in the cellar at the Inn on the Twenty. The food was simply delicious! Normally I don’t drink anything alcoholic while I shoot a wedding, but I had a few sips of their Cabernet Franc before I left, and it was also delicious :) I’m still thinking about the wine now…

Congrats you guys, wishing you nothing but happiness!
