Toronto Union Station Engagement Photos // Amanda & Graham

Amanda was referred to me by my good photography pal Sara, whom she had gone to school with. When I first met Amanda and Graham, their strong connection was very obvious to me and they just exuded warmth. For their document love/engagement session, Amanda wanted to incorporate things/locations that are meaningful to them. So we picked Silver Snails for their love of comic books, Toronto Union station because they were in a long-distance relationship for a while, and High Park for being an iconic spot in our city and the beautiful fall colours!

The day of the session came and it was unusually cool for October, and even a few snowflakes fell from the sky. But the sun came out seemingly just for us and I had an incredible time laughing and photographing them. Thank you guys for such a fun session! Looking forward to being a part of their wedding this fall!

High Park Engagement Photos // Amy & Henry

They say that “birds of a feather flock together”. Well, I think proverbs really do express a truth that is based on common sense or real experience. The first thing that I learned about Amy and Henry was that they love to travel.

Well, you had me at “travel”. When we met, we just talked about their travels. I can honestly say that is one topic that I’ll never get tired of talking about. It was also very apparent to me how in love they are with each other. This made it very easy to capture their connection during this Document Love/engagement session.

Document Love: Hayley & Mark // Toronto Engagement Photography

Hayley & Mark are getting married on Sunday! When I first met them back in November, on a chilly evening, we sat and talked about their wedding plans, how they met, their story. Somewhere in the conversation, we discovered that Hayley’s dad is good friends with one of my psychology professors from University of Toronto. It really is a small world.

I adore these two. They are so genuinely kind, they make each other laugh and they inspire the best in each other. For their Document Love/engagement session, we went to High Park on a warm Spring evening. Hayley & Mark live just down the street and often take their cute pup, Pixel for walks there.

Sunday is going to be amazing, because that’s what happens when you’ve got great people and lots of love.

Karla & Steve // High Park engagement photos

If you know me, you know that I like High Park. And High Park in the Spring when the Cherry Blossoms bloom is probably High Park at its best. So I was very excited to have been able to take photos for Karla and Steve there in April. Although the park was heaving with people that afternoon, we managed to find some quiet spots and make it all our own. I’m really looking forward to their wedding in a month – especially seeing Karla in her gorgeous gown.

We just returned home after a month’s traveling post-wedding, I’m sufficiently dark despite my efforts with sunscreen, and have tons of photos to go through. I’ll be posting some photos soon, and sharing some of our wedding planning experience as well.
