The arrival of a baby brings a new chapter to your life. What better time than that to document the beginning of something new?
My baby sessions take on more of a candid, lifestyle approach, which means no props (if you have items you’d like to include, we can definitely incorporate them), not a lot of posing, and no need for babies to be sound asleep. Just you and your new bundle of joy hanging out; natural & no fuss.
Baby Daryna was 8 months old when I took some photos of her and her doting parents last month.
She has incredible blue eyes, and is cute as a button. I also think she’s going to be a beauty, just like her Mama.

I met Leena almost 5 years ago now. I had met her through work and she is honestly one of the most genuinely nice people I’ve ever met. She’s funny, generous and a great listener. Through these 5 years, I’ve witnessed her getting married to Sanjay, the love of her life, and now they are having a little girl together!
For this maternity session, or as I call it, Belly session*, we went down to the waterfront in Burlington and had ourselves a little picnic with sparkling juice and some fantastic sweets (mmm chocolate covered strawberries!) :) Both Leena and Sanjay love food, so it was fun to incorporate that element of who they are as a couple into the photo session.
Leena & Sanjay, thanks so much for having me take these photos for you! I hope I have captured some precious memories that you will look back at fondly and show your little girl photos of when she was still in Mommy’s tummy! xo
*I find the word “maternity” a little funny…or maybe I’m just a little funny :D

Little Alexis was just 3 months old when I took her photos. As much as I think newborn photos are cute, I find it much more relaxed for the parents to have photos taken when their little one is a little bit older.

Baby Graham was 3 weeks old when I met him. Still a tiny little thing, so precious. He slept soundly for most of the session, except for when he got a bit chilly, or when big sister Daisy gave him kisses :D

Baby Khyal was my first newborn shoot. He was just 10 days old for our photo session. So little, and so precious. I’m constantly amazed how much each baby’s personality is so readily apparent from the beginning. At just 10-days old, little Khyal wouldn’t sleep for us. And as these things go, after 3 hours of trying to coax him to sleep soundly, he slumbers off into dreamland after I left!
