a certain something

I submitted a few photos to the Metro Photo Challenge 2010 today, this being one of them.

I struggled for a long time with naming the photo and finally settled on “charmed”. But just after I submitted it, a certain well known French phrase came to mind: je ne sais quoi. Often used to describe the effortlessly elegant French women. For me, this is the perfect phrase to describe Carey Mulligan, the actress in the picture.
