Baby Graham {1 Year Old} // Toronto Baby Photographer

I first met baby Graham when he was just three weeks old, then again when he was 6 months old. And last month, he turned 1. It’s amazing how time flies. Heather & Mark had a little birthday celebration for Graham where he had cake for the first time and had lots of fun with balloons, his favourite.

I loved being able to witness some key milestones in little Graham’s first year and documenting them. What a little man he’s grown into! And those blue eyes and sweet cheeks. :)

Thank you Heather & Mark, for inviting me into your home again and for having me along to photograph the amazing time that was baby Graham’s first year.

This bunny is well-weathered. It also appeared in our first session.

Heather said he loves babies, and these photos are evidence of that.

Then we opened some presents, but I think Graham was more interested in the tissue paper. :)

And he made a new friend :)

Rona & Timothy // Elopement Photography Toronto

“He’s more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same” – Emily Brontë

When I got the email from Rona about photographing her and Timothy’s intimate elopement, I just had a great feeling about it. Then I found out that not only did Rona like my photos and feel connected to them, she also felt connected to me from reading about me on this blog. It was an incredible feeling, like finding your kindred spirit.

They wanted their wedding to be simple, romantic and stress-free. And I think what took place was just that.

Thank you, Rona & Timothy. For being so lovely and kind, and for inviting me into your special day and trusting me to documenting it.

Document Love: May & Brandon // Toronto Engagement Photography

I’m excited to share this fun engagement/document love session today!

I’ve known May for almost 8 years now. We went to the same university, shared some common friends, and also worked at the same Chapters together. And now, she is getting married!

May is funny, quirky and playful. Although I have only met Brandon recently, I think he’s the perfect complement to May. For their Document Love session, they wanted something natural and reflective of who they are, and so to the Game On 2.0 exhibit we went at the Ontario Science Centre. Then we walked around the Toronto harbourfront, where they used to go for long walks and try to figure out a way to stop time (I borrowed this straight from May). Well, I hope I was able to do that for them, even if it’s just with a few photos. But that’s what they are right? Time-stoppers.

And I photo bombed my own photo :P

It’s the day of photo bombing…

Baby Aidan // Toronto Newborn Photographer

Baby Aidan:  also known as Little Bear. He was adorable in the way that only newborns can be. And so precious. I know I’m not supposed to pick favourites, but this little guy slept through the entire session, I was floored! My favourite thing when photographing a newborn session is seeing the looks of wonder, fascination and pure love from the little ones’ parents. That is what I hope to capture in every newborn/baby session. Here are some favourites from this session!

Baby Tara {8 Months & 1 Year} // Toronto Baby Photography

I first met and photographed little Tara when she was 8 months old, and what a sweetie she was. A couple of weeks ago, I met up with the family again to document Tara turning 1. It’s really a great pleasure to watch these little ones grow, and an honour to be invited into their lives more than once. Thank you Mahima, Ashley, Shaan and Tara!

I had planned to blog the two sessions separately but have decided to combine them instead. Tara’s 1-year session further confirmed my belief that you just gonna chase them down once they learn how to walk, because there’s simply too much to explore to sit still :)

Here are my favourites from both sessions. Enjoy!

They grow up fast!

Must be tough being 1 ;)

This last photo cracks me up :) What said girls have cooties?! ;)

Joline & Markus // Puck’s Farm // Toronto Carnival Themed Farm Wedding

I’m so excited to finally share this amazing carnival themed farm wedding! I was the second shooter for this wedding, helping the lovely, wilde-ly talented and all-around wonderful Sara of Sara Wilde Photography :) Thank you for having me along!!

Joline & Markus tied the knot at Puck’s Farm in the fall with a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony, loving family and friends, delicious food, and a really fun and creative theme. Think cowboy boots, farm animals (including a cheeky Llama on the loose), games, candy apples, hay rides, and guests who dressed up as if attending the Night Circus. But at the heart of it, it was a couple in love, celebrating love and a manifest of commitment. And my favourite part of the day, aside from capturing everything with my camera & lens, was actually the sense of unplugging (from electronics, social media, and other forms of modern distraction; my camera doesn’t count), and being present.

Without further ado, here are just a handful of photos, enjoy! Check out Sara’s blog post for more!

The most delicious jerk chicken I’ve ever had!

I adore this photo below. It was like walking into a movie scene, enchanting. For some reason it reminds me of the movie Big Fish.

and the stars that night…
