Toronto Child Photographer // Isla

It’s not often that I photograph a child alone, though Isla’s mom was with us and did make appearances! Little Isla gets photographed once a year, around her birthday. I think it’s a great idea to create documentation of your little one’s childhood. They grow up so fast after all. I’ve always loved photographing children, not only because childhood is such a precious time but because they are so trusting. If you open your heart and show your true self, they do the same. As a photographer, that trust is something very precious that allows you to photograph something authentic and pure, something that can be hard to do with older subjects.

Here are some of my favourites from our session!

Lil’ Hearts Club // Toronto children photographer

I’m very excited to announce a little project that my friend Alex Lee and I have been working on for a while – The Lil Hearts Club!

For me there’s something magical about working with kids: their innocence, sense of wonder, and that ability to be fully present in the moment. When Alex and I started talking about the idea of doing a fun session for kids only, we weren’t sure how an indoor studio setup would work out. But let them bring some favourite things, add in a few huge pillows, they were game! We loved the results from our first session.

So at Lil Hearts Club we take photos of your little ones and encourage them to just be kids: no expectations, no posing or any of that kind of stuff – just hanging out, playing and having fun.So come play, bring along your favourite toy and join our Lil Hearts Club!

We have 5 spots left for our next session happening on Saturday March 15th in our studio in Toronto – contact us for more details!

The Wong Family // Toronto Family Photographer

Remember this sweet family? One of Ming’s sisters, Lynn, contacted me in the Spring (yes..of last year! I’m catching up!) and asked me if I’d photograph her family, her parents (grandma & grandpa Wong), her siblings & their families. I was like – yea!

They were such great people, and it was such an honour and a pleasure to document 3 generations of a family together. I knowI’ve said this before, but there’s something amazing about being around kids. Their sense of wonder and joy at the smallest things bring out the kid in me and makes me feel giddy and worry-free. It’s possible that I’m totally biased since these kids were so well behaved. :)
