I photographed Brittany and James’ rustic farm wedding back in 2014, and a few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to meet and photograph the new addition to their family: baby Audrey.
There’s an undeniable feeling of joy and wonder in the air in their little family, and I felt so blessed to have been able to capture these. For these guys, home is Saturday morning in bed and your loved ones are by your side.
Meet baby Blake.
She was born in December last year and was the first little one I photographed this year.
She was curious and awake at the beginning of our session, but then fell asleep after a nice warm bath.
Meet baby Benjamin, or as his parents call him, Benji. I had first photographed him while he was still in his mom’s belly just a month earlier. Life is marvellous.
Big brothers Clark and Ralph joined in for some photos too.
It was 2 weeks before Christmas and I couldn’t help but grab a shot of al the stockings.
I first photographed baby Andrew when he was just a wee newborn, then again when he was 6 months old. Then in October, he turned one. It was really great to go back again and document another big milestone and see how much he’s grown! Mom and dad planned a mini cake smash into the session and we got some interesting reactions.

I took some photos for little Luke and his family (his mom and I used to work together) on a crisp, early autumn afternoon. Luke’s cousin is Maya, who also makes an appearance below.

If you’ve looked through my work from the past year, you’ll notice that I haven’t posted many baby & family sessions – yup I’m a little behind! Now that it’s winter time, I’m going to catch up and blog some of my favourite baby & family sessions from the past year. Starting today is a really special little guy. I first met baby Andrew when he was just 9 days old, and back in April I met up with his family for his 6-month session. No matter how many times it happens, I will never cease to be amazed by how fast they grow up! He was such a smiley and happy baby and I’m glad I captured some of that from this session.
