Document Love: Simona & Daryl {A Relaxed Engagement Session at Home}

If you missed the sneak peek from Simona & Daryl’s relaxed engagement session, it’s here.

What can I say about these two love birds? They are so in love and so cute. They make each other laugh and absolutely adore each other, and their cute Boston Terrier, Oreo. From the first time I met them, I knew that we would work well together. :) For their engagement session, they really wanted something unconventional and non-posey, which is exactly how I feel about “engagement photos” as well. So we crafted a custom session for them that included a walk in the park where Daryl proposed, as well as some down time at home doing things they love and just hanging out. I really enjoyed documenting all of it.

Thanks guys, for letting me share a little part of your Sunday and I can’t wait to photograph your wedding at the Royal Botanical Gardens in June! You are perfect together and your home is so lovely. Enjoy the photos!

Their sweet engagement session at home has been featured on The Wedding Co!

Update: The awesome for-like-ever sign is from KJ & Co.

Toronto Portrait Photography | Ali & Mike

Meet Ali & Mike. Ali is a graphic designer; she loves Mike, and she loves photographs. Mike is a teacher, and he loves Ali. And so a month ago we met up for what I call a love shoot. :)Ali loved the idea of for once not having photos of them that were “self portraits”. I know exactly what she means! Here are some that I captured for them. Enjoy!
I asked them to think of one word that they think best describes the other. They did, and then added their own touches. Cute!
Being goofy! :)

Burlington Engagement Photography | Jen & Matthew

If you missed the sneak peek for these two’s cute engagement session, take a look here.Here is a look at the full session. Jen is beautiful and such a sweetheart, and Matthew is just handsome. They’re perfect together. And, they adore each other. Clearly.

One month until their wedding. So excited for them! :)

Don’t you just love her smiles?
I brought these chalkboard conversation bubbles and asked Jen and Matthew to each write one word that they feel describe how they feel about their upcoming wedding – without looking at each other’s. Then, I asked them to show each other what they wrote. And of course, they both chose the same word :) Cute with a capital C!
I heart the soft golden light at sunset.
Jen and Matthew, thank you for allowing me the honour of documenting the start of an amazing chapter in your life!
