Amanda, Duncan & Georgia // Mississauga Family Photographer

Amanda & Duncan are friends of Justin & Ming (and sweet Dash). Naturally, I was thrilled when she contacted me a few months ago for a photo session! Even better when I found out they have a sweet little girl named Georgia. I’d been photographing lots of little boys up to that point!

We had to reschedule our session and postpone it by almost a month because of rain, but boy it was worth it to have that nice golden light near sunset. :) We went down to the waterfront in Mississauga and just had ourselves a play date, swings and all. I really do think the best way to capture children is having them in their element: playing and having fun. Although I’m starting to think that maybe 3 is the age where they start to pose a little for the camera unprompted ;)

Thank you Amanda & Duncan! You have such a wonderful family and have a beautiful and vivacious little girl!

Oliver {6 months} // Toronto Baby Photographer

Little Oliver is now 7 months old! I can’t believe how time flies and how much babies grow in such a short amount of time! It’s kind of neat really.

Here are my favs from Oliver’s 6-month-old photo session. We talked and played, well, I talked with Tanya and Tom, and Oliver changed outfits like a pro. I have to say, I’m really enjoying documenting the little guy’s first year at regular intervals. Next time we meet, Oliver will be a year old. I can’t wait for our 1-year birthday shoot!

nom nom!

Toronto Family Photography // Dash: Playing in the Leaves

There is something magical about photographing children. The innocence, the energy, a certain sense of wonder. I literally had a smile on the whole time I edited these. Which could explain why I took so long, because I can break up the editing into chunks at a time and prolong my sense of glee.Justin & Ming, thank you for sharing a little piece of your Sunday morning with me in the park. I could spend the whole day following little Dash around :D

The day after our shoot, Justin told me that Dash was saying “Bye Janice!” for about an hour. *heart explodes* Seriously if you are ever in dire need to offload him for a day and your usual choices of babysitters aren’t available, just let me know!

“I can DO it Daddy!”

“The tree is so BIG!”

Mississauga Baby Photography | Lincoln: Pumpkins & Christmas Lights

Remember this cute baby? I spent some time last month and captured Lincoln’s first moments with a pumpkin. Last week I returned and hung out with him again, this time putting up some Christmas lights ;)Lee & Derek, you have such a handsome little boy! Thank you for allowing me to capture some precious moments. I hope you enjoy these photos for years to come.
One of my favourites!
We played with giant glittery snowflakes, while Lexi, the family’s adorable miniature schnauzer looked on :)
This is how you put on Christmas lights people! :D
This set below just cracks me up! Lincoln was clearly having the time of his life with his musical rocking chair.
Lexi joined in for a family photo and gave Lincoln a kiss!

Toronto Family Photography | Sneak Peek: Dash

I met Justin, Ming and their adorable son Dash for a portrait session in High Park on Sunday. Even though I don’t live in Toronto now, I’ve really grown to love High Park. It just has so many amazing spots, and it’s pretty in any season.Little Dash turned 2 today! He is just so sweet. He was squealing with delight at everything throughout our session, with the kind of pure joy that only children have.

Here is a sneak peek from Sunday. Thank you Justin and Ming!

Check out the matching hats :)

Just mesmerized by the mobile…
Oh Scruffy! My lens suffered some minor licking from you that day, but it was worth it for these two shots alone :)
What a gorgeous family!
