2nd Floor Events Wedding // Noor & Zain

Noor and Zain’s wedding at 2nd Floor Events was an intimate and fun event where they were able to talk to and mingle with everyone, and be fully present for the day. After the lunch reception and a bit of dancing, we then went to Spin next door for a few rounds of ping pong, how fun is that! Their wedding was just like them, warm and well-grounded.

Noor and Zain first met in their undergraduate studies at Queen’s university. They quickly became friends and kept in touch after graduation. Seven years later, Zain emailed Noor one day to see how she was doing, and one thing led to another, the rest was history. They are so comfortable and in sync with each other, and Zain always has a great smile when he is around Noor. It’s so sweet.

A quote that I really like from their ceremony: “Love organizes our vast and sometimes unpredictable world. It is that which preserves and ennobles our human experience”.

Here’s the story of Noor & Zain’s wedding day!

P.S. the gorgeous event was planned by Fidan of Designed Dream.

Ping Pong should be played like this. Always.

Le Select Bistro Wedding // Lianne & Tristan

I still remember the first time I met Lianne & Tristan – it was at one of my favourite places in the city, Soma Chocolatier. They are the type of people with whom you feel at ease right from the beginning. Lianne is a beauty inside and out, and Tristan has that charm only Aussies have. It was clear to me from the beginning how in love they are. At their intimate wedding at Le Select Bistro, Tristan mentioned how he still can’t believe this pretty girl is his wife, and Lianne talked about how when they met, she understood that this is how it’s supposed to feel to be in love.

I get asked sometimes whether or not I ever get bored of photographing weddings since that’s mostly what I do, and my answer is always no. Because while there are similarities between each wedding, they are always different. Just like as people, we can be similar in some ways, but in the end, we are unique individuals. For me, getting to know my couples and their stories, being a part of this journey, that’s why I love what I do. Then I take the things I see, and the emotions I feel, and translate them into photos.

Here’s how the day unfolded for Lianne & Tristan’s wedding. Thank you both for being so incredibly kind and trusting me to document this special day for you.

Adrienne & James {Corus Entertainment Building} // Toronto Wedding Photography

I met the lovely Lisa of Lavish and Light Photography at a workshop almost 2 years ago and have adored her work ever since. So I was pretty excited when I got the chance to second shoot with her for Adrienne & James’ wedding this past summer.

Despite the on and off thunderstorm and the humidity throughout the day, nothing could dampen the joy for Adrienne and James. As you will see below from a handful of my favourites. The most unique part of their wedding though, was their reception venue, which was the Corus Entertainment Building. I’d never heard of Corus before but what a whimsical and different venue it is! It’s actually an office building but they have a huge atrium in the back facing Lake Ontario, with all-glass windows. It’s modern and fresh. The coolest part of the venue is the giant tube slide that spirals from a height of almost 3 stories, and that is how Adrienne and James made their grand entrance! It was such great fun.

Someone is pretty excited! :)
