Your Shop Girl Relaunch {Bobbette & Belle}

Your Shop Girl offers wardrobe consultations and comprehensive personal style and image makeovers, complete with personal shopping. I had the opportunity to be a part of the relaunch event a few weeks ago. If you missed the sneak peek, it’s here, and below are some favourites from the evening. Everyone enjoyed delicious treats from Bobbette & Belle (my favourite was the Cassis macaron of course) as well as hors d’oeuvre from Yorkshire Pudding. chatted amongst friends, enjoyed a 5-minute makeover, and received a colour consultation by Suzanne, who is the creator and owner of Your Shop Girl.

The event was very well put together (no pun intended!) and had a very intimate feel to it, thanks to Amalia from Talen Events.

Baby Andrew

“Both my husband and I love the pictures. They are all fantastic! We have shared the pictures with friends and family and everyone was deeply impressed. We enjoyed the whole experience which was both intimate and professional. Janice was very patient and talented especially with soothing the baby. Thank you so much for capturing such a special time with our new baby. We will look forward to working with Janice again for future photo sessions. Thanks Janice!”

Greg & Thea {Restaurant Wedding: Earth Bloor West} // Toronto Wedding Photography

Greg & Thea tied the knot a week after Thanksgiving in an intimate event filled with lots of love, laughter and DIY projects. Even though it was raining on and off all day, nothing could have dampened their celebration of love, family and friends. Their wedding was held at the modern yet classic Earth restaurant in Bloor West Village. The setting was romantic and lent to the intimate atmosphere of the wedding, and the food, well the food was fabulous. I felt very honoured to be a part of Greg & Thea’s special day and to be able to document their story. Once again one of my favourite part of the day was the ceremony. Take a look below, and you’ll see why. It involves a DIY backdrop which was filled with their story. They are both readers, so it came at no surprise that words and stories were a big part of their day.

Congratulations Greg & Thea, may your life together continue to be filled with love, and laughter for the years to come!

The kissing game got a little out of hand, Greg does not look impressed.

Thea’s dad gave a wonderful speech that has us all in stitches.

Alice & Wayne + Family

“My husband and I never got around to getting any family photos taken. When we had a chance to sit with Janice, I jumped at it. The day of the photo shoot finally arrived and we had such a great time. Janice put our entire family at ease and just started snapping photos like crazy. We had a terrific afternoon laughing and running around in a field overlooking Lake Ontario. We then made our way down to a beach and played in the sand. I’m amazed at the photos Janice produced. She really captured our girls’ personalities, even our youngest, who is quite shy. Janice used the changing daylight, the backdrop of the field, and the perspective of the beach so effectively; I’m so impressed! I’m so happy and grateful that we could do this. I hope we can do another shoot with her when the girls are a little older. Thank you Janice!”

Document Love: Mandy & Sean // High Park portraits

You don’t have to be engaged, or married, or having a baby to have your photographs taken. You just need to be in love. Mandy & Sean are the embodiment of that philosophy for me. Mandy chose High Park as the location for their session as they’ve spent a lot of time there together. And, it was a birthday gift for Sean. In fact, for Mandy’s birthday in the summer, Sean planned a scavenger hunt in the park! How fun is that? Wish I could’ve documented that too. :) Here are some of my personal favourites from their Document Love session, enjoy!
